Hello, we’re still here!
21st July 2020
It’s now been nearly a month since we were last in touch and what a month it’s been! In amongst all the Coronavirus chaos, we’ve had the 75th anniversary of VE Day and some of the hottest Spring days we’ve had for years. It has been great to see pictures of communities coming together (figuratively, if not literally) and supporting each other.
I personally enjoy the ‘Clap for Carers’ every Thursday and the sense of ‘togetherness’ it brings, but it has made me realise how few of my neighbours I’d actually met before all of this. One little girl in particular makes me smile; she bangs a saucepan with relish, whilst circling the front garden, loving the excuse to run riot for a few minutes each week! Another claps from her bedroom window in her pyjamas alongside her Mum, clearly delighted to be going to bed later than normal.
I’ve even heard about a street in Billingham who play bingo every week. Each household sit at the end of their drive and they play against all the neighbours and have some fun. I saw pictures of their ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ special the other week, where each house was assigned a country and had to come dressed accordingly. What a fabulous idea, and a great demonstration of community spirit in action.
Also in the last month, Boris Johnson announced the Government’s plans to gradually lift lockdown.
Whilst the outcome of these measures remains to be seen, please be reassured that we are still here, still working (from home) and still available to help you in any way that we can. Whether it be wanting to review some old policies you’ve found in the back of a drawer when having the obligatory ‘Corona clearout’ or whether you have reassessed your priorities and want to revisit your financial plan with us; we are here to help.
To get in touch with us to arrange a chat via telephone, Zoom, Skype etc, please drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01642 033737.

Please stay safe, and in a full ‘360’ to where we began, talking about VE Day celebrations…
